It's Not Prompting. It's Critical Thinking.
Thirty minutes before a client call, an unrelated vendor mentioned a tool that solved the exact problem I was about to present on — and it turned out the client already owned it. AI restitched the narrative in time; what it did not do was notice the opening or decide it was worth taking.

Just 30 minutes before a call, my entire story changed, because a new tool was presented.
See, I used Claude AI to research the company, to build a story, prepare a presentation of an approach. But right before the call, I met with an unrelated vendor who had mentioned a tool that would have solved the entire problem — this specific challenge that the client was having. It turns out the client already owned the solution, they just didn't know that they can expose it to solve their specific problem.
So just shortly before the call, I had Claude help me stitch together a new narrative, came on the call, gained a bunch of goodwill because there were no costs for the client — and it was just beautiful.
Now, the lesson here is that AI didn't do any of the thinking for me. It helped stitch together a story, it helped me with my research, and eventually it helped when I challenged it with new tools and new concepts.
And that's really the skill. It's not prompting — it's critical thinking, and then AI accelerates it.
