Two to Six Months to Make It Back. Or I Pass.

Every project has to return a multiple of what it cost inside two to six months, or he does not take it. He walks through why the two-year horizon and the what-if objections are the wrong frame, and where the two-to-four-week work is already sitting.

I only take projects right now that you will see the return, a multiple return on your investment within two to six months. A multiple. Do not think about two years from now. Do not think about what if the software I am using changes their infrastructure. What if, what if. If I cannot deliver a feature to you that you are immediately making money on, I will not take that project. And I already have, thankfully, a whole entire list of clients that have problems that need to be solved right now because there is a pain today. Those are the projects you should be prioritizing right now, and those are two to four week projects that are sitting there. They can be easily done.
